Strong Sawmill Frame with Premium Steel
The sawmill frame is constructed of premium steel to hold the controls, engine, and sawmill head in a strong and stable structure (heavier-duty premium bent steel sawmill frame included with the LX50SUPER). For smooth and accurate sawing, the sawmill frame runs forward/reverse on the sawmill bed using high-quality enclosed rollers that are protected from sawdust and debris.
Quick Sawhead Up/Down with Crank Handle
Quickly and accurately move the sawhead up and down to prepare for sawing with the crank handle. Easily turn the handle clockwise or counterclockwise with 68 locking locations to adjust the blade depth for the next cut in 1/68” increments. A log scale is also included for sawing 8/4”, 6/4”, 5/4”, 4/4”, and 3/4” lumber.
Clean Blades with Gravity-Fed Blade Lubrication
Keep the sawmill blade cool and free of pitch, sap, and sawdust while sawing with the gravity-fed blade lubrication that applies directly to the blade. A water tank conveniently located close to the operator is easier to refill and features an on/off valve for consistently distributing lubrication to the blade.

Support Logs with 4 Quick-Lock Drop-In Side Supports
Four strong tube steel quick-lock drop-in side supports (two short and two long) use a convenient and secure notching system for fast adjustment between cuts and when turning logs (two quick-set up/down side supports included with the LX50SUPER). Comparable drop-in style side supports without notches and small fastener screws can loosen and allow the log to move when loading, handling, or sawing. An additional built-in bed side support on each cross section eliminates the need for quick-lock side supports while sawing a squared cant and allows for final cuts within 1” of the bed.
High-Performance Sawing with Blade Guide Rollers
High-performance blade guide rollers provide extra support and stability for sawmill blades to saw accurately and consistently compared to blade guide blocks. In addition to continuously feeding the blades, the blade guide rollers apply downward pressure on the blade while sawing for better cut quality. Sawmill blades run on belted 16" diameter cast iron band wheels for additional stability in the cut.

Durable Sawmill Bed with Diagonal Crossbars
The sawmill bed adds strength and durability where it counts with ¼” thick laser cut steel bed rails, cross sections with wide top surface areas for easier log handling, and extra diagonal crossbars for additional stability. In addition, the entire sawmill bed is painted and constructed of the same premium solid steel throughout the bed to last for years, not seasons.
Secure Logs with Quick-Set Log Clamp
Constructed of strong tube steel, the quick-set log clamp tightly fastens logs for sawing and is adjustable up/down and in/out as material is cut (two quick-set log clamps included with the LX50SUPER). Comparable plated style log clamps are lightweight and difficult to provide a safe and secure clamp on heavier logs. The log clamp uses a large acme thread screw for better durability and a clamp point block for an extra grip on a round log or squared cant. Each log clamp is able to move between other cross sections and additional log clamps are available.
Precision Sawing with Thin-Kerf Sawmill Blades
Engage the sawmill blade with the convenient pull handle that engages the mechanical clutch and throttles the engine at the same time. One 132” length sawmill blade is included with every LX50START portable sawmill although it is recommended to have at least 10 sawmill blades on hand to minimize sawing downtime when sharpening blades. With the ability to saw as precise as 1/16” with the thin-kerf sawmill blade, you get the most usable lumber out of every log.
Easy Blade Changes with One-Piece Sawhead
Sawmill blade changes are easy with the one-piece saw head cover that is secured by two outside fasteners and two inside clips. The space-saving cover opens above the sawmill and locks into place for convenience and safety. To change a sawmill blade, simply release the blade tension, replace the blade, and tension the blade with the simple screw indicator without having to remove any extra parts.
